Upcoming Undergrounder: Mr. Focus

So how many of you know who "Mr. Focus" is?

Well here is a little Q&A me and Focus did.
Q:How old were you when you got in to rapping?
A:I started when I was 15 years old. I heard a song by Nelly that he did for his mother. I wanted to do the same for my mother.

Q:How did you know that this was what was intended for you in life?
A:I first realized this was my calling when I started to meet people who were in the music industry. People like Travis McCoy and Octavius Crouch at Universal helped open my eyes a little. I kept positive people around me and things were falling in place.

Q:Were your parents supportive of your career discussion?
A:In the beginning my mother hated it. The loud music in my bedroom and never doing my school work or chores. I was in trouble all the time. It bothered her but she seen my dedication. It took some time for her to support me and my decision to do music. My father is a Hip Hop head. He owns "The Shack", one of the last mom and pops record shops in Brooklyn, New York. He would play my music just to see the reaction of the people passing by the store. That was really cool. He has be incredibly supportive.

Q:How would you describe your sound to your fans?
A:Ultimately I'd like my fans to figure it out. I don't have a set sound that I use. Everything I record is different because I'm not influenced by trends. I guess that's what makes me unique. I can do urban music today then have a pop euro sound tomorrow. If I has to use one word it would be two, World Domination.

Q:Are you open to new collaborations of music?
A:Yes, I'm always looking to create new music with hot and up and coming artists. I'm an artist first so I believe collaborations help us grow musically.

Q:This is going to sounds lame but, what are your 25 most played song in your iPod?
A:Wow, 25? This is going to sound crazy but I have a list of 70's, 80's and 90's artists I rock to. Phil Collins, U2, LL Cool J, Sting, Nelly, Slick Rick and lots of Dr. Dre.

It was brife questioning process I didn't really want to take up to much of his time.

But here is a short Bio and some free downloads for you fans ;)

I record, edit and master these recordings. No pen, it's done in the moment. "World Domination". The music industry should fear me - Mr. Focus
